Levenwick

An impressive broch, imposing on the horizon and positioned near to the cliffs. Some lovely click-mills can be found a little to the north of the broch.
Also to the north, just around a small geo (inlet) are some rather odd stone formations on the cliff top.
The broch itself is worth a visit and shows considerable detail within.
This broch was excavated in 1869 by Gilbert Goudie and he produced drawings of the structures he found.
[2] The storm of February 1900 destroyed much of the excavated detail

Also known as: Helm's Geo, Blovid
