[2] reports this broch to be largely destroyed. However on my last visit, there was still much of interest in the general layout of the site. Peripheral structures resemble ditches and ramparts which one might conjecture had a defensive rôle. There are some areas of exposed stone beneath the grass, however no constructed courses of stone were noted.
