According to [3] there are no convincing remains on this site. On visiting, very little was found at all. The position of the broch is at the 'head' of the Loch of Cliff. Now this is more interesting than one might at first sight think, since one local person informed me that as far as she was aware, the Loch had only formed when the area at Burrafirth had filled in and closed off the loch at some point in the past. It may be that the loch was open to the sea at the time any broch was built on this site. Regardless of that, the site affords views of several other suspected broch sites in the area.
